They started at 4 a.m. this morning. It was a steady banging. I thought it was some drunk DU kids being destructive. I put my pillow over my head, but the loudness didn't allow me to fall back asleep. I put on my glasses and looked out the window to see that it was a construction crew. They are rebuilding the railing on University right outside my apartment. So, they have spent the last four hours destroying it and depriving me of any chance to sleep.
Night construction is supposed help avoid causing traffic issues during the day, but don't they take into consideration that loud smashing and beeping trucks in the middle of a neighborhood may not be the most considerate of things?? They're still going at it, so I've surrendered and am off to make a pot of coffee. Ha.
